Guar gum is a natural, plant-based thickener obtained by grinding the seeds of Cyamopsis tetragonoloba, a legume cultivated in certified organic agriculture. It produces a clear, smooth gel that can be used in cold liquids, making it ideal for natural dyeing applications where consistency and precision are important.

Mix guar gum powder into a small amount of cold water, stirring briskly to avoid clumping.

Gradually add this slurry into your dye bath or extract solution while stirring until you reach the desired thickness.

For printing and painting applications:
– Use approx. 2–5% guar gum relative to the liquid volume.
– For a thicker paste, increase slightly.
– For a lighter viscosity, dilute with more water.
