Cheryl Using the minimal water approach of dyeing, I processed a silk scarf. The resulting color was a lovely pale apricot, though not at all what I expected. I was hoping for the beautiful aqua color in the photo. I will try again using the same method, but also the usual method in a pot to see what happens.

Melinda This was sure a fun dye!
Hubby and I placed a small piece of silk in a bowl and started to mush it around into the silk, until we were tired.
We got a lovely very pale gray-green which I didn’t like at first, but it has grown on me.
I’m going to embellish it with some silk embroidery thread/floss in a design TBD.
